This shows the settings options. The first of which is setting the date and time. It is easy to do just move the center red control nub to make the adjustments and select the current date.

This shows the video compression type, does not mean a lot to you know but trust me on this you want to set it to NTSC. The camera by default is PAL, This is a European standard and may not play on some systems here in the states.

This shows the video frame rate or FPS (frames per second) as well as the video size. 1080p is HD size. 780 is large and will do nicely for most filming.
